This hand turned resin top-whorl spindle has a beautiful dome shaped whorl in layers of pearly green and purple resin with gold shimmer. The whorl is in our new lathe-turned style, which is perfectly balanced. The spindle has a walnut wood shaft. The whorl is notched to the back of the hook.
The total weight of the spindle is 27g, making it perfect for spinning light to medium weight yarns.
The spindle's handmade silver plated hook is in a swan-neck style, which balances the yarn properly above the centre of the spindle. Has been test spun to ensure it has good balance.
The spindle is supplied with a robust custom-made shipping container, which also acts as a handy carrying case for later.
The resin used for the whorl contains a UV protectant, however for longest life without colour change, we recommend that you store your spindle away from direct sunlight.
